REGLAMENTO GENERAL DE COMPETICIÓN E.G.A.
1.- Todos los perros deberán tener su carnet de vacunación.
2.- Los perros participantes deben de tener un mínimo de 8 semanas de pelo.
3.- Los caniches deberán tener un mínimo de 5cm. de pelo, las partes afeitadas no podrán venir cortadas.
4.- El perro ha de tener el pelo suficiente que permita al peluquero hacer un cambio visible.
5.- Los perros deberán presentarse en el prejuicio lavados, secados, sin nudos, con orejas limpias y uñas cortadas.
6.-Las zonas perianales y genitales, se limpiaran por razones de higiene, siempre en consonancia con el estándar de la raza.
7.- Todas las técnicas de peluquería están permitidas (tijera, máquina , depilación, etc.).
8.- Para los caniches están autorizados todos los cortes de exposición.
9.- Los participantes deberán estar 30 minutos antes de la competición.-
10.- El veredicto de los jueces es inapelable.
11.- Cualquier expresión indigna o agresiva hacia un juez es motivo de descalificación.
12.- El criterio de los jueces, en la valoración del trabajo de los participantes con el perro, se basará en:
Estándar de la raza (no, en el caso de los mestizos).
Utilización del material adecuado en cada caso.
Grado de dificultad del trabajo a realizar.
Organización en el trabajo.
Acabado final.
13.- La organización, no se hace responsable de los accidentes provocados por los perros en la competición (mordeduras, muerte, enfermedades, fugas…).
14.- Los propietarios o participantes se harán responsables del perro durante todo el evento. Se harán cargo de cualquier desperfecto o accidente causado por éste.
15.- Es imprescindible llevar una caja de transporte para guardar a los perros durante la noche
16.- La organización se reserva el derecho de actuar en consecuencia en situaciones no previstas en éste reglamento.
El hecho de participar en este campeonato sobreentiende la plena aceptación de éste reglamento.

Categorías de competición:
Tijeras : Bichón, Kerry Blue, Soft Coated, Terrier Ruso, Bedlington, Bouvier, etc.
Spaniel & Setter: todos los setters, cocker americano, inglés, springer, etc.
Stripping: Perros de pelo duro que según su estándar se trabajan con depilación: Fox, Lakeland, Scotish, Westhighland, Sealyham, Schnauzer, etc
Caniche: todos los tamaños, todos los cortes.
Comercial o Work Shop* Arreglo comercial.
Principiantes* Peluqueros con menos de un año de experiencia.

*Estas categorías no competirán en Best in Show (Comercial o Work Shop, Principiantes o virtual dog)

Por categoría, los competidores podrán elegir para competir en una de las dos clases siguientes:
Abierta: ya se ha participado en competiciones.
Campeón: ya se ha ganado en la misma categoría en la competición.

Estas categorías serán de clase única (Comercial o Work Shop, Principiantes o virtual dog)

Información útil:
Los concursantes han de traer su propio perro.
Los concursantes han de traer su propio material de peluquería.
La organización pondrá a la disposición de los concursantes una mesa y toma eléctrica.
Los concursantes deberán estar al ring 30 minutos antes del comienzo de la competición para el prejuicio.

En la clase de principiantes, los participantes pueden preguntar consejos o ayuda de los jueces durante la competición.

Tijeras:
Bichón y Bedlington : 2:00 horas
Otras razas : 2:30 horas

Spaniels & Setters:
Setters, Cocker Americano, Cocker Inglés, Springers… 2:30 horas

Stripping:
Razas que se utiliza máquina:
Raza pequeña 2:00 horas
Raza mediana 2:15 horas
Raza grande 2:30 horas
Razas que no se utiliza máquina :
Raza pequeña y mediana 2:30 horas
Raza grande 3:00 horas

Caniches:
Altura hasta 35 cm. 02:00 horas
Altura de 35 a 45 cm. 2:15 horas
Altura de 45 cm. 2.30 horas

Principiantes: 2:30 horas

Comercial o Work Shop:
Raza pequeña 2:00 horas
Raza grande 2:30 horas

Reglamento específico de cada categoría:

-Categoría Stripping / Spaniels y Setters

Las cuchillas de stripping están permitidas.
Los perros han de estar realizados según el estándar de la raza.
Los sprays, polvos y cremas están permitidas
No está permitido usar máquina excepto:
Scottish Terrier: pecho, cabeza y orejas.
West Highland Terrier: pecho y orejas.
Cockers y Setters: pecho y orejas.
Schnauzer: Pecho, cabeza, zona interior de las patas traseras y orejas.

Categoría Caniches y Tijeras

El hocico, patas y cola deben tener un pelaje de, como mínimo, 2 semanas de tiempo.
Los caniches deberán tener un mínimo de 5cm de pelo. Las partes afeitadas, no podrán venir cortadas. En caso que esto no fuera así, tendrían 15’ de penalización
Para los caniches están autorizados todos los cortes de exposición.
Los caniches con top knot tendrán 15min adicionales para finalizar el arreglo para el estándar y 5min más para los enanos y medianos. Se podrá pedir ayuda a una persona externa de la competición para aguantar al perro.
No se permite colorear.

FIN DE LA COMPETICION

Los competidores deberán limpiar su mesa de trabajo y dejar solamente un peine a disposición del juez.
El competidor presentará su perro ante el juez, previamente al ser juzgado.
El competidor podrá peinar a su perro antes y después de ser juzgado.

EL JUICIO

Los jueces examinaran a cada perro en el pre-juicio (antes de iniciar la competición) y en el juicio final ( al acabar el tiempo de competición), teniendo en cuenta los siguientes criterios para la valoración del trabajo de cada participante:

Presentación del perro ante el juez.
Estándar de la raza.
Grado de dificultad del trabajo a realizar.
Capacidad para disimular los defectos y mejorar sus virtudes.
Calidad de la técnica de tijera, máquina y depilación , después de haber pasado el peine.
Balance, simetría y elegancia
Acabado final.

PUNTUACIÓN Y CLASIFICACIÓN:

Todas las categorías se clasificaran por medio del sistema de puntos.
A los jueces no se les permite intercambiar opinión del veredicto de la competición.
Cada juez juzgará de forma personal a todos los competidores.
El juez al final del juicio, entregará al presidente del jurado sus seis primeros clasificados.
El puntaje será el siguiente:
1.- clasificado 10 puntos
2.- clasificado 8 puntos
3.- clasificado 6 puntos

La clasificación de la categoría será el resultado de la suma de puntos de los finalistas de cada juez.
En caso de empate, será el presidente del jurado el que hablará con los jueces para dar la clasificación final.

DESCALIFICACIONES:

Los jueces podrán advertir al competidor que tenga una manipulación agresiva o incorrecta hacia su perro. A la segunda advertencia será descalificado.
Si el competidor realiza heridas, cortes o quemaduras al perro, no podrá quedar finalista.
• Cualquier lenguaje agresivo o indecoroso utilizado hacia los jueces podrá conducir a la descalificación.

The contestant can apply for the following categories:
Handstripping
Spaniels and Setters
Poodles
Other pure breeds scissoring
Commercial *
• Beginner * – not more than 1 year’s experience. Dog shows also count as experience

RULES
The contestant can compete as “beginner” in several contests for one year even if winner.
The second year he/she must enter “Open” class even if not winner
These Categories not eligible for best in show.
Per category, the contestant can compete in one of the three following classes:
Open – Can be admitted in “Open” class all contestants that never won their categories and will stay till they attain a victory.
Contestants will enter “Champion” class, where existing, the year after and only in the categories they won.
Champion – Can be admitted in “Champion” class contestants that already won in the same category at a competition.
When a “Champion” class registers less than 5 entries it must be considered invalidated and contestants have to enter “Open” class
Useful information
Contestants must bring their own dogs.
Contestants must bring their own grooming tools.
The organization will provide the tables.
The contestants need to be in the ring 30 minutes before the start of the competition for prejudging
In each category, there will be 3 contestants placed per class.

Small breeds 1.30 hours Medium and Big breeds 2:00 hours * When feet, muzzle and tail have been groomed before the competition, time can be reduced up to 15 minutes.

Grooming Regulations
The dogs will need to be washed (except for the handstrip dogs) The ears and nails need to be groomed and the dog’s underbelly, genitals and hind quarters may be previously groomed for reasons of hygiene, according to the breed standard. The dog needs to have at least 8 weeks coat growth or poodles minimum 5 cm coat length. Any evident line or pattern should not be visible. Dog’s coat must be long enough to allow the groomer to make a difference in it’s appearance. All grooming techniques are allowed, as long as the chosen technique suites the type of the dog’s coat.
Category Handstripping / Spaniels & Setters
Stripping knives are allowed Dog needs to be groomed according to the breed standard (Colored )Chalk powder/block/spray and cream is allowed. It is not allowed to use clippers except: Scottish Terrier – chest, head and ears. West Highland Terrier – chest and ears. Cockers and Setters – chest and ears. Schnauzer – chest, head, inside of back legs and ears
Category Poodles / Pure Breeds
The dog needs to be washed and fluff dried. The muzzle, feet and tail should have at least a 2-week’s hair growth. Poodles must be groomed in a style recognized in the breed standard. Poodles with top knots can have 15 minutes extra time to finish the top knot and may ask for help from an outsider to hold the dog. Coloring is not allowed
Commercial category
For all FCI recognized breeds groomed commercially. In this class you may enter with breeds that usually need stripping and groom them using scissors or clippers. Coloring is not allowed.

Competition End
Contestants should remove all hair, equipment and products from the grooming table. A comb should be placed on the table for the judge to use during judging. Contestants may comb their dogs before and after the judging panel has evaluated their dogs. Contestant should stack his/her dog to present to judge. It will be announced when the judging is finished so contestants can relax their dogs.
Judging
The judges will examine each dog during prejudging and final judging and will take in consideration the following issues: • Suitability of chosen style to the dog. • The difficulty degree of the clip. • Ability to camouflage defects and enhance beauty. • Up to date with today’s modern grooming styles. • Respect for todays breed standard. * • The quality of scissoring, shaving and or stripping after passing a comb. • Balance, symmetry, and smoothness. • Presentation of the dog to the judge. *Allowance to be made for International differences in styling for example USA or Scandinavian styles.
Poodles
The quality of the clipper work whether the feet, face and tail are clipped with the appropriate blade. All clipper work should be smooth with no tufts of hair around the lips , eyes, pads of the feet.
Hand Stripping
There should be no visible pink of bald patches. The hair must be removed with the lay of the coat and without causing pain. Removing the undercoat by a carding tool is allowed only after the handstripping has taken place. Rolling coats are acceptable; however the work done in the ring must be sufficientto allow the groomer to make a distinct change in the dog’s appearance. If clippers are used to trim the soft coat on the head or ears, the front of the neck, or on the insides of the back legs, these areas must be trimmed neatly and smoothly with the appropriate blade. The clipper work should blend smoothly with the furnishing or feathering rather than stick out. Excessive scissors use will be penalized. Pure Breeds and Spaniels & Setters If thinning shears are used: the areas that are thinned should blend smoothly and create a natural appearance. The judges’ decision will be final and binding.

POINTS
In the four main categories (Handstrip, Spaniels and Setters, Poodles,and Other pure breeds) the judging system is based on points. Each judge awards 10 points for the first place, 8 points for the second, 6 points for the third in each class Judges are not allowed to exchange any opinion concerning the judgment during the competition. Each judge will have his/her own place list. Adding up the points of all judges, the President of the Jury will obtain the final place list.Just in case of tie the President of the Jury will discuss with the judges to establish the place list. Handling Judges may give a warning to any competitor who is seen handling a dog in a rough or unsafe manner. A second warning will constitute disqualification. If the competitor makes clipper burns, nicks or cuts he can’t be placed as a winner. Any indecorous or aggressive language used towards the judges may lead to disqualification. It is understood that contestants entering the competition accepted all the items of these rules.
